When LilyAnna was 4 months old, we started to contemplate trying to get pregnant again. I was 43 yrs old and we were given, by fertility experts, a less than 3% chance of conception with LilyAnna. We knew are chances weren't great.
We went back to our fertility doctor (when LilyAnna was about 6 months old) and after some fertility testing, we were given a less than 1% chance of conception this time :( Our doctor urged us to rethink our plans. I told him I knew there was one more child waiting for us. He, reluctantly agreed to begin treatment. Telling me, with a guarded smile....., "Well...if you truly believe there is another one for you...who am I to argue with woman's intuition. Lets get your medication ordered today & get started".
We sat down with the nurse and discussed our plan of attack. We ordered our expensive inejctible fertility meds & oral meds...went home and geared up for the upcoming cycle by testing at home for ovulation & waiting for our meds in the mail.
Cycle after cycle......failure. I knew it would happen....just when...I did not know. It was so hard.
Patience.
